Republican Congressman Rob Bresnahan (PA-08) has backed the GOP’s budget resolution, a measure that could result in millions of Americans losing access to health care and groceries. This decision comes at the expense of critical support for working families, all to give a massive tax break to billionaires and himself.
“Today, there were 148,200 living, breathing people relying on Rob Bresnahan to protect their health insurance. He decided that tax cuts for billionaires and himself were a higher priority. Voters will not forget this betrayal,” said American Bridge 21st Century spokesperson Nico Delgado.
The budget resolution would cut Medicaid up to $880 billion and SNAP up to $230 billion. Pennsylvanians who depend on Medicaid and SNAP will suffer as a result:

Approximately 148,200 (25%) of Bresnahan’s constituents in Pennsylvania’s 8th District are covered by Medicaid or CHIP, and more than 58,000 people in the district have used SNAP.
Bresnahan voted to slash Medicaid despite promising not to touch it.
