Republican Congressman Ryan Mackenzie (PA-07) has backed the GOP’s budget resolution, a measure that could result in millions of Americans losing access to health care and groceries. This decision comes at the expense of critical support for working families, all to give a massive tax break to billionaires.
“Today, there were 125,100 living, breathing people relying on Ryan Mackenzie to stand up and protect their health insurance. He decided that tax cuts for billionaires were a higher priority. Voters will not forget,” said American Bridge 21st Century spokesperson Nico Delgado.
The budget resolution would cut Medicaid up to $880 billion and SNAP up to $230 billion. Pennsylvanians who depend on Medicaid and SNAP will suffer as a result:

Approximately 125,100 (20%) of Mackenzie’s constituents in Pennsylvania’s 7th District are covered by Medicaid or CHIP, and about 40,000 people in the district have used SNAP.
