Senator Kelly Ayotte last week voted against a measure to close a loophole that allows persons on the terror watch list to purchase guns. On Sunday, Senator Ayotte tried to spin her vote with a tweet downplaying her NRA-pander that leaves Americans vulnerable: “We need to come together now & pass law 2 stop those on no-fly list from buying guns, w/ due process for Americans who are wrongfully on list.”
That sounds nice, but here’s the thing: it doesn’t mean much of anything.

Senator Ayotte kept her promise, casting her lot with a GOP contingency that’s blocking a common-sense national security measure to make sure the NRA cash keeps rolling in. Plain and simple: Senator Kelly Ayotte is bought and paid for by the NRA.”
