In an interview on Fox & Friends earlier today, Speaker Mike Johnson admitted that extending the Trump tax cuts will “blow up the deficit,” but that he, and the GOP majority, are still “definitely going to get that extended.”
“House Republicans will do just about anything to help their billionaire buddies become even richer, even as they turn a blind eye to Trump’s tariffs and freeze of federal funds that will hurt everyday working people,” said American Bridge spokesperson Philip Shulman. “There is no doubt that Mike Johnson, aided and abetted by his Republican majority, is making the government a servant of the billionaire class.”
