Today, according to reporting from NBC News, the Republican-led House is continuing its unpopular, dangerous, and losing strategy of attacking abortion and women’s health care.
In response, American Bridge 21st Century Co-Chair and former President of Planned Parenthood Cecile Richards has released the following statement:
“Now that Republicans are in charge of Congress, they are showing again that their highest priority is to attack women’s health care. It wasn’t enough to overturn Roe v. Wade. The Republican Party is entirely focused on putting politicians in between women and their doctors, and taking away our personal freedom to decide about our pregnancies. This is not what the American people want, which was clearly demonstrated in the flood of women voting against Republicans in the midterm elections.”
This latest onslaught is being led by co-sponsors Rep. Matt Rosendale (MT-02), Rep. Alex Mooney (WV-02), and Rep. Mike Gallagher (WI-08).
