TIMELINE: What Did Christie Know and When?

As BridgeGate documents subpoenaed by the New Jersey State Legislature are due to be turned over to investigators today, it's worth reviewing the timeline of what Governor Chris Christie has said he knew about this growing scandal and when he says he knew it. While Christie has doubled down on his claims that he knew nothing of the lane closures while they were happening, his public statements on this timeline have been inconsistent and imprecise. Christie has refused to answer media questions about the scandal for weeks, and his weekend straw man attacks on his appointee David Wildstein's high school years instill little confidence that another shoe isn't waiting to drop.

Cuccinelli clings to Tea Party extremism in final debate

At tonight's debate, Ken Cuccinelli returned to his roots by embracing the extreme agenda of the Tea Party at every turn. Virginians are seeking a mainstream leader to boost the Commonwealth's economy and create jobs, so it's no surprise that voters are rejecting a candidate who made a name for himself by waging unpopular fights to further his extreme agenda. After three debates, voters know who Cuccinelli is and what he stands for:

• Banning abortions, even in cases of rape and incest
• Refusing to support the Violence Against Women Act
• Believes birth control is a form of abortion
• Believing homosexuality "brings nothing but self-destruction, not only physically but of their soul."

Republican Lt. Gov. Bill Bolling: Cuccinelli's Opposition to the Transportation Compromise “Shows How Out of Touch He Is With the People of Virginia.” According to the Washington Examiner, “Lt. Gov. Bill Bolling, a Republican who may enter the race as an independent, also chastised Cuccinelli, saying his opposition could prevent the General Assembly from finally solving the state's transportation problems. ‘His opposition to this historic transportation agreement just shows how out of touch he is with the people of Virginia,’ Bolling said. ‘It is not the least bit helpful to have him coming in at the last minute criticizing this proposal.
