Today in 2020 — less than a month before Election Day — Amy Coney Barrett was sworn in to the United States Supreme Court after being appointed by Donald Trump as a part of his 2016 vow to appoint justices who’d vote to overturn Roe v. Wade.
Barrett, who never tried a case to verdict or argued an appeal in any court prior, was an outspoken anti-abortion extremist — which is exactly why Donald Trump chose her.
“Overturning Roe v. Wade was a litmus test for Donald Trump’s Supreme Court nominees. Elevating Amy Coney Barrett to the highest court in the land robbed the American people of some of their most fundamental rights,” said American Bridge 21st Century Presidential Campaigns Communications Director Brandon Weathersby. “He won’t rest until he’s eliminated abortion rights entirely, and if given another chance to, he’ll put even more extremists on the Supreme Court and lower courts, and further attack our rights. That should terrify us all.”
American Bridge’s “This F*cking Guy” campaign is reminding voters of key moments from Trump’s presidency as he pursues the GOP nomination in 2024. Our Trump Research Book website exists to help allies find the research needed to defeat Donald Trump. The site is organized into multiple reports designed to help tell the full story about Trump’s failed presidency and make the case against his 2024 campaign.
