American Bridge Vice President Shripal Shah released the following statement after Russia secretly deployed a cruise missile in violation of an arms control treaty that helped put an end to the Cold War:
“These actions taken under the direction of Vladimir Putin pose a significant threat to the surrounding region, NATO and its allies. Despite claims from White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer that “the President has been incredibly tough on Russia,” nothing could be further from the truth. The Trump administration’s unwillingness to stand up to Putin continues to present serious national security risks that cannot be overstated or further ignored.”
