Donald Trump’s disrespectful display at the National Association of Black Journalists conference, where he repeatedly attacked ABC News reporter Rachel Scott and lied about Vice President Kamala Harris’ ethnicity, was just the latest episode of Donald Trump’s long history of publicly attacking Black women.
“During his discussion at the National Association of Black Journalists conference, Donald Trump reminded the entire world who he is: an angry, power-obsessed, racist old man. It’s who Trump has been ever since he came down the golden escalator in 2015, and Black women have always been a top target for his wrath,” said American Bridge 21st Century Communications Director of Presidential Campaigns, Brandon Weathersby. “Trump does not care about respecting, protecting, or promoting Black women and he will not advocate for their needs or rights as president. We’re going to make sure we spread the word about Trump’s true nature far and wide.”

- Trump called on progressive congresswomen of color, including Rep. Ayanna Pressley, to “go back” to where they came from.
- Trump said Rep. Maxine Waters was crazy and that she was “one of the most corrupt people in politics.”
- Trump said Rep. Maxine Waters was an “an extraordinarily low IQ person.”
- Trump criticized Rep. Frederica Wilson as “wacky” and “killing the Democrat Party.”
- Trump falsely said that Atlanta District Attorney Fani Willis “was after a certain gang and she ended up having an affair with the head of the gang or a gang member.”
- Trump blamed ESPN’s ratings decline on award-winning reporter Jemele Hill after she criticized him publicly.
- Trump called award-winning White House reporter April D. Ryan “nasty” and a “loser” who “doesn’t know what the hell she’s doing.”
- Trump baselessly called Vice President Kamala Harris “evil” and said that disqualified her from being president.
- Trump said Vice President Kamala Harris “was always of Indian heritage” and he did not “know she was Black until a number of years ago when she happened to turn Black.”
