Donald Trump, who constantly rails on outsourcing companies — including companies that he’s invested in and profited off — has a hypocrisy problem: essentially all of his Trump-branded products are outsourced and manufactured overseas, from Bangladesh and Vietnam, toHond
To be clear: there are American-based clothing manufacturers. Hillary Clinton is today visiting an American tie manufacturer, Knotty Tie Company of Denver, Colorado, for example. But Donald Trump has no interest in using his product lines to create opportunities for American workers.
Case in point: his Donald J. Trump Signature Collection ties are made in China.
American Bridge President Jessica Mackler issued the following statement on Trump’s hypocritical outsourcing:
“Throughout his career, Donald Trump’s put himself and his profit margins above America’s working families. He says he’ll ‘bring back jobs,’ but that’s bunk; just look to his own record. Trump’s me-first attitude means that he outsources when possible to cut corners and pad his wallet.
“Donald Trump is fundamentally unfit to be commander-in-chief, because he puts himself first when it comes to business and job creation and there’s no reason to believe Trump would think any differently while running our country into the ground.”
