Scott Wagner was endorsed this weekend by Steve Bannon, the head of Breitbart news and former Trump senior advisor. In case you needed a refresher, Breitbart is a website that “pushed racist, sexist, xenophobic and anti-Semitic material into the vein of the alternative right.” Sound familiar?
American Bridge spokesperson Lizzy Price made the following comment:
“Steve Bannon and Scott Wagner share the same repulsive views that favor certain people over others. From disturbing anti-semitic comments to favoring tax giveaways for the wealthiest few and cutting health care for those that need it most, Bannon and Wagner-backed policies should strike fear into Pennsylvanians because they only want to make things great for themselves.”

Steve Bannon: “…but it’s in honor of a woman that’s one of the great personages, one of the great personalities of the 20th century, Phyllis Schlafly. Okay? There’s an unbroken chain for her grit, determination, her courage, from what she did back in the early 1960’s to what Scott Wagner is going to do in Pennsylvania. It’s an unbroken chain! He’s fighting the exact same kingmakers! The exact same kingmakers. You know what happens here? You saw it in President Trump’s campaign. You’re seeing it right now. It’s the reason I left the White House. He needed a wingman to go against the Republican establishment. When Scott Wagner was talking a second ago, it’s about the Democrats. We’ll get to them and we’ll beat them like we beat Hillary Clinton but the first thing we got to get through is a corrupt and incompetent Republican establishment. The Republicans establishment on Capitol Hill has not had any support for President Trump. Okay? It has not had any support his populist, nationalist, conservative message. His populist, nationalist, conservative ideas. His populist, conservative, nationalist program. You know why? They’re not populists, they’re elitists. They’re not nationalists, they’re globalists. They’re not conservatives, they’re liberals. And that is what we’ve got to fight everyday.”
