“Well, I certainly think that Roe should be overturned…”
Kelly Ayotte, who lost her re-election senate campaign in 2016 in part due to her anti-abortion record and embracing the Trump MAGA agenda, is trying to breathe life into her forgotten political career by running for governor.
In response, American Bridge spokesperson Philip Shulman released the following statement: “Granite Staters rejected Kelly Ayotte in 2016 because of her extreme anti-abortion record and her embrace of the Trump MAGA agenda — and they will reject her in 2024 for the same reasons.”
Additional background on Ayotte’s bad for New Hampshire background:
- Ayotte advocated that the Supreme Court should overturn Roe v. Wade, and helped make that happen by helping block Merrick Garland’s appointment to the Court.
- While in the U.S. Senate, Ayotte worked tirelessly to overturn the Affordable Care Act and take health care away from Granite Staters.
- Ayotte called Donald Trump a “role model” for New Hampshire children.
