Tonight is the first debate in New York’s 22nd Congressional District, which is very exciting for new district resident Brandon Williams.
“Brandon Williams is a carpetbagging coward and a Trump loyalist,” said American Bridge spokesperson Monica Venzke. “He doesn’t stand for anything besides the MAGA agenda. That’s why he’s deleting his tweets and lying about his extreme anti-choice record.”
Brandon Williams is wrong for New York, and here’s why:
- He posted on X that the overturning of Roe was a “monumental victory.” Then he deleted his post.
- He is a carpetbagger from Texas who got drawn into his district this year.
- He has voted for multiple pieces of anti-choice legislation, including voting for a bill that would punish doctors who perform abortions.
- He is on the Republican Study Committee, which endorsed a nationwide abortion ban without any exceptions that would also restrict access to IVF.
