This morning’s debate in Minnesota’s Second Congressional District serves as an opportunity for voters to learn the truth about Republican candidate Joe Teirab.
“If I was a gambler, I’d bet all my money that Joe Teirab uses this debate to lie about his anti-choice record and extreme agenda,” said American Bridge spokesperson Monica Venzke. “He’s out-of-touch with Minnesotans and he knows it. That’s why he can’t seem to be honest about his plans if elected.”
Joe Teirab is wrong for Minnesota, and here’s why:
- He is an anti-abortion extremist who sits on the board of a “crisis pregnancy center.”
- He supported a federal abortion ban, and lied about it later.
- He said the Supreme Court did the “right thing” by overturning Roe v. Wade.
- He is endorsed by Donald Trump and Mike Johnson — who have both been vocal supporters of a national abortion ban.
- He stated that he’d vote to raise the age for Social Security, and then tried to walk it back.
