This week, there are two New Hampshire gubernatorial debates — today’s NHPR debate and Thursday’s Manchester Chamber of Commerce debate. We’re expecting the usual lies from Kelly Ayotte about her anti-choice record, her corporate connections, and her history of voting to gut the key programs that Granite Staters rely on — and we’re here to make sure you don’t fall for them.
“Despite the tune she’s singing now, Kelly Ayotte is no moderate,” said American Bridge spokesperson Monica Venzke. “She is, without a doubt, a MAGA loyalist who has spent her entire career fighting for her own financial interests. Whether it’s offshoring New Hampshire jobs, using child labor, or contributing to a severe housing crisis, she doesn’t care what sketchy and nefarious activities her corporate employers are up to, as long as they’re still paying her bills.”
Here’s a reminder on who Kelly Ayotte really is:
- As U.S. Senator, she voted to ban abortion and restrict access to IVF and contraceptives.
- She supported Trump’s legal efforts to overturn the 2020 election and has accepted support from election deniers during her campaign for governor.
- She voted to repeal the Affordable Care Act.
- She is on the board of Blackstone, the nation’s largest landlord, all while running on helping New Hampshire’s housing crisis.
- She’s on multiple corporate boards with severe scandals, including News Corp., Bloom Energy, and Blackstone.
- She re-endorsed Donald Trump, hired his MAGA Inc. spokesperson as a consultant, and used the same foreign stock footage in her ads that MAGA Inc. used.
- She lied about a tragic murder in Manchester to attack her opponent in one of her ads and had to take it down following backlash.
