Wisconsin Democrats scored massive legislative victories as they picked up four state Senate seats, breaking the GOP’s supermajority and making it that much more possible that Democrats will take control of the chamber in 2026.
In response, American Bridge spokesperson Philip Shulman released the following statement:
“This is what happens when electoral maps aren’t gerrymandered to solidify a Republican supermajority in a truly purple state like Wisconsin — voters get the representation they deserve. For years, Republican extremists who were determined to take away women’s reproductive freedoms, strip public education funding, and undermine our democracy have gotten a free pass. Now, Wisconsinites in every corner of the state have the opportunity to elect candidates who are grounded in reality, not just playing partisan politics.”
