Jeff Sessions is in trouble – deep trouble. According to The Washington Post, then-Senator Jeff Sessions spoke twice last year with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak, considered by U.S. intelligence to be one of Russia’s top spies. However, during his confirmation hearings, Sessions stated “I did not have communications with the Russians.”
But he did. That’s perjury. Committing perjury under oath is serious – just ask 1999 Jeff Sessions.
“Jeff Sessions can not be trusted to tell the truth and oversee an impartial investigation of this Administration’s ties to Russia. If Republicans don’t recognize that he can no longer credibly serve as Attorney General, at minimum they must immediately put country ahead of party and join calls for him to recuse himself from this investigation,” said American Bridge Vice President Shripal Shah.
